This is the only tool on the app store that can merge curved lines together and add multiple curve points. Works almost exactly like Adobe Flash just.

Works quite well for creating floor plans and lot plans, though hopefully future updates will make this better. Currently there is no option for dimensions, so lines with arrows and dimensions have to be added manually. Also, text size is limited so doing a floor plan in 1:1 scale means the text is way too small to read. However, 1:12 ratio with text and line size set to max keeps everything very readable. Grouping and Layers are great features and make workflow a lot easier. Everything is icon driven, so the you do need to remember what each button does. However, the Undo feature is excellent so its no problem to muck about til youre comfortable. Works good with touch, and is really nice to work in with a stylus (I use the inexpensive Targus stylus which is available almost everywhere and it works like a charm). Though it would be difficult to create full legal blueprints, this app has definitely been sufficient for me to email detailed drawing to my builder.

Precision rotation input: ie; specify a exact degree of rotation instead of trying to get it by hand

Loving the idea of being creative on the go. I have been using this app in my breaks at work doing illustrations. Easy and intuitive was able to jump in fairly quickly and get to creating. Would love to see gradients being implemented in future versions.

Very frustrating, tried multiple times to add a text box and I still cant create one. Shouldnt that be simple?

bad app.. cant add a text to a simple sign i am trying to design. waste of $

Very well thought out drawing app. Beautiful UI, well placed tools, and good help.

Program has worked well for me in the past. Could of used a couple of more features and was excited to finally see an update. But after updating, iDesign wont open anymore. iPad 2 running latest OS. Would have rated higher before update.

Only a couple recommendations 1 move the delete layer button away for the layer on/off button. (I deleted layers a number of times by accident) -frustrating as hell! 2 put a "are you sure" prompt in before deleting layers. Other than that this thing is a ten Thanks

Developer, u should give back refunds to all the previous users who paid for extra features, despite the costly app itself. Now whats the point of paying for extra features?

Ive been working hours on a design and all seemed to go well until I closed and reopened the app. The multiple dropbox backups and the native file on my ipad 2 opened on a very early stage of my work. This is ridiculous and there certainly should be a SAVE option as we work. A waste of my time and money...

I bought this software because I needed to design a stage area for a show coming up. I was up all night doing the design (I LOVE the software!) but then the software crashed and will not restart. I had not had the chance to export yet and fear that I have lost all my work. This is an extremely time sensitive issue (the concert is this week) and I am panicking. I have tried rebooting the software several times as well as performing several hard resets on my iPad to no avail. (fast forward 5 days) I now see that an update has been released. I have installed the update and the software still will not start. It gets to the screen where is says "Loading..." and then just closes back to my home screen after about 15 seconds or more. Any ideas? If my work is saved and the software gets going again, I will gladly rate it with a 5 star..... Jeff

This app does not do what I hoped it would. For someone that is used to using CAD, Revvit, Softplan, this does not make designing easier. There are FAR to many glitches for things as simple, adjusting line length. It needs some work, please go back to the drawing board and experiment with PROPER design programs and get a feel for the way a design program is supposed to work. Keep it up youre almost there just smooth out the bugs and people will want to and enjoy using this program.

To start with, no one should be expecting autocad performance on an Ipad at this price. That being said, I have used iDesign to create a number of plans and drawings, and have found it to have good functional performance, thoughtfully presented toolbars, and reasonably intuitive user operations. The learning curve is not that steep, and the user manual is pretty helpful (I did not try the video tutorials - didnt need them). I did not encounter the problems with iDesign that other users have found. Not sure how big the user community is, but there are a few little items that could/should be addressed in the longer term, and the developer ought seek some input on this. Nonetheless, I looked at several technical drawing programs for the Ipad, and iDesign appeared to be the best program for general technical drawing purposes. Definitely worth the price.

This is a really good app, a little learning curve, but read the manual and it eases the effort. Dont expect any customer support though, there is none..... Highly recommended....

Really very good, Ive had this one for quite some time and the updates keep coming, love this one for a quick draft when an idea for a project hits me.

A few major problem for me: 1.No arrow line. 2.Line cannot connect the other shapes or stick to them. 3.Text has no properties as for shapes or is separated from shapes. When I form text with shape, I must form shape and text, align them and group them. I hope that you upgrade this App.

Cool app but needs lots of work and bug fixing under iOS 7. This app needs to stand for its name or bow out. I would give 5 star if it didnt have saving/exporting quirks and didnt lack features such as round rectangles. Hope it becomes better.

If this application have wacom and other pen support and more cloud server support it will be most great technical drawing aplication for ios

Could be such a great app but it keep crashing. Not possible to use straight 5 minutes. And the interface need revamp.
